Design, characterisation and production of additives to reduce polluting emissions during the manufacturing of asphalt mixtures

This project involves the design, optimisation and production of an additive to reduce the viscosity of hydrocarbon-based binding materials, making it possible to lower the production temperature and design a self-compacting asphalt mixture while also lowering CO2 emissions, due to the fact that less fossil fuel is consumed during the asphalt mixture production process. This project has received funding from the Government of Valencia’s Small and Medium-Sized Industry (IMPIVA) programme and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
