We currently have commitments to various causes and associations, with whom we work through sponsorships or more specific forms of assistance, such as donations of readapted devices or by promoting diverse forms of corporate volunteering.
Furthermore, our Social Action department runs an annual internal campaign where we encourage fundraising to support causes within our local community.
At Simetria, we consider the impact of our activities on the environment. We therefore identify the relevant environmental aspects of each business and apply the necessary operational control actions to minimise them. All these actions are based on environmental performance oriented towards preservation and conservation, with special attention to combating and adapting to climate change.
In addition to environmental control, we promote numerous sustainable innovation projects that allow us to reduce our impact on the natural and socio-economic environment, driving the circular economy, emissions reduction, waste recovery, etc.
Our commitment is reflected in the leadership and positioning of our companies regarding the calculation of their Carbon Footprint and its voluntary registration with the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, a journey we began with the first registration by Becsa in 2012, and in which seven Group companies currently participate.
